This blog is about everyday cycling, in style, on hills, in bad weather and with terrible infrastructure.
I originally started this blog as I was getting lots of comments from people wondering how on earth I managed to cycle round Sheffield with two kids on a heavy Dutch bike - especially when they realised it wasn't electric! My answer to that is that there is no rule that says it is compulsory to cycle up hill, it is OK to get off and push!
But mainly, this is a blog that celebrates the ordinary people of Sheffield wearing their ordinary clothes, just getting on their bikes to run errands, take the kids to school and go to work. There is no such thing as cyclists or motorists, we are just people.
Cycle Chic was originally founded by Mikael Colville-Andersen. It is a now a global brand promoting urban cycling & mainstream bicycle culture
